Venetian Plaster samples of varying levels of complexity

This special powder room uses two tone custom tinted Venetian plaster - Novacolor’s ‘Mirror’, as well as tinted wax to bring out the texture. The finish was created to complement the appointed architectural elements and fixtures in the space.

MINERAL FINISHES

Specialty plasters that create outstanding effects: Novacolor’s Archi Pietra Intonaco, Calce Cruda and Era a Pennello, or lime paint

The following several pictures are of a large, three room master bathroom project employing Novacolor Calce Cruda, copper leaf, stencils, custom made magical texture instruments and glazes. The goal achieved was for an Asian inspired botanical fusion of plaster and copper, to complement the marble, mortarless stacked stone and rug design

Notice the change in tile color - the tiny red tiles were hand painted in specialty tub and tile waterproof paint, in white, to update the look of the bathroom, to the client’s overwhelming satisfaction. No need to demo the tile.

This master bath project employed Novacolor’s Calce Cruda for abstract forest mural and white ‘trunk extensions’ onto adjacent wrap around walls, distressed copper leaf, stencils, custom made magical texture instruments, lime paint, glitter, glazes, Venetian plaster and wax, both custom tinted, for wrap around walls

This next project, owner’s suite headboard wall, in Novacolor’s Era a Pennello, or lime paint, was inspired directly from the teal monochromatic area rug seen in foreground. Several subtle teal glazes were used to enhance texture, as well as iridescent waxes to enhance the ethereal feel to the finish.

Corner detail. Owner’s specs were that the mantel have a stone effect and complement the existing marble surrounding fireplace opening. Custom tinted Calce Cruda, special texture tools and glazes do the trick.

“Tracy Browner has worked on our house on numerous occasions since 2002. Her job was to faux most of the rooms that had already been painted. She did that so well, and understood colors so well, that she has, over the years, repainted and applied a faux finish in almost every room. We just no longer wonder if we really have ‘the right color’. Tracy works hard, works with others, has a network of other painters who she is confident can be brought onto her jobs. The next several pictures are of a fireplace remodel project with faux paint. This first picture is the “before” picture. The hearth was treated in place, and the vertical surround panels were painted in my home studio, then installed in place.
